At the end of the month I turn 28. It is not vanity that drives a fear of this number. It’s a perceived lack of achievement bothering me. I decided to help with this transition I need a list. I cannot remember what blog it was that gave me the idea for a 30 by 30 list, but I liked it. A list of accomplishments that I can set goals towards. Goals and I don’t tend to get a long. Rather, I believe in adaptability, living in the moment. Recognize what you want and move towards it, you don’t need a goal to get there. However, this works but it doesn’t give a reflection of the achievement. The satisfaction and happiness is short lived if it ever comes at all. I’m taking this in two parts. One is my own 30 by 30 list and another is about the area in which I live, the Twin Cities. Exploring it, finding out what it is to love about these cities.
Twin Cities, A Year in Exploring
Culture: Visit a museum, go to a play, watch an indie film at a local theater, Historic tour,
Food: Explore the cuisine of the cities including various ethnic based foods. Ethiopian, North African, Peruvian, Nepalese, etc.
Outdoors: Visit the ice palace/ice skating, go canoeing, camp on a lake, bike tour
It’s my city and it makes me happy.
